- Insert battery into terminal.
- Press the power button.
- Press “B” to boot when prompted.
- During the boot-up stage (VT/ANSI screen), Press the following key sequence: _f
 Left Kidney2 4 8.
- Configuration Menu and press <ENTER>.
- Communications Menu and press <ENTER>.
- Primary Network and press <ENTER>.
- Activate 802.11 DS using the left and right arrow keys.
- Enter Host PC IP address.
- Enter terminal IP address.
- Highlight OK, Press
<ENTER>.
- Highlight Advanced Network and press
<ENTER>.
- Set Network Port to 1001.
- Enter the subnet mask.
- Enter the Default Router address if needed.
- Highlight OK, Press <ENTER>.
- Press <ESC>.
- Open Radio
- Enter the Network Name (SSID) that was established when setting up UAP.
- Scroll down to WEP Encryption; enable it; set the WEP Transmit Key to 1; set the value for WEP Key
- Highlight OK, Press <ENTER>.
- Open Terminal Menu.
- Open Power Management.
- Set Resume to Not Allowed.
- Highlight OK, Press <ENTER>.
- Open Preamble/Postamble.
- Set Postamble to “\x0A” (case-sensitive).
- Highlight OK, Press <ENTER>.
- Open Keypad.
- Set Caps Lock to On.
- Highlight OK, Press <ENTER>.
- Press <ESC> twice .
- Save New Configuration in RAM, select Yes.
- Open System Menu.
- Open Store Configuration.
- Store Configuration in Flash Memory, select OK.
- Press <ESC> twice .
- Highlight OK, Press <ENTER>
- REBOOT
